The 30-day founding sprint

You pick the problem that costs you the most. I spend 30 days fixing it with software, inside the tools your team already uses, and I stay close enough to come by when something needs a person in the room.

  1. Week 1

    The walk-through

I spend a morning with you and your team, follow how a call or a job moves through the business, and put a dollar figure or an hour count on every place work slips away.

  2. By day 7

    First fix live

Often that's a text that goes out within a minute of every missed call, or an automatic chase for paperwork clients still owe you. You see something working inside a week.

  3. By day 30

    Two more systems running

Picked from what we found. Your team gets a walkthrough and a one-page how-to for each.

  4. Day 30

    The readout

We read the numbers together, and you get a 90-day plan you can run with me or without me.

The offer

$2,000 for the first 30 days

Five local businesses get it this fall at that price. Two start in November and three in December.

It costs $2,000 and about four hours of your time. I pay for the tools during the sprint. Everything is set up in your name, and it stays yours. You'll have my cell for the whole 30 days.

Every sprint comes with a written guarantee. I spell it out in the one-page plan I make for your business, so you see the terms before you say yes.

Why this price: I live in Montgomery and I want results I can point to here. An intro to another owner is welcome, never required.

After day 30 you can keep me on at the founding rate: $1,500 a month (regular $2,500), locked for a year, month to month. I keep everything running and add the next fix each month. Once the five founding spots are filled, the sprint is $5,000.

Who's doing the work

Ben Johnson

I'm Ben Johnson. My family and I live in Montgomery. Most of my career happened on a screen, and I want the next chapter to be with businesses I can drive past.

At Amazon I managed hundreds of millions of dollars a year in business. Then I built and ran a portfolio of consumer brands that grew to $80M+ a year. Today I lead growth and operations for a handful of consumer brands and media companies, mostly by fixing how leads, orders and money move through each business.

I do the work myself. The person who walks through your business in week one is the person who builds your system.

15 yrs in growth. 0 yrs in your trade. You'd teach me that part.

Businesses I work with

Accounting firms

Reminders that chase the documents clients still owe you, and a first pass on the books before a person reviews them.

Law firms

A reply within minutes to every new inquiry, day or night, with the basics collected before the consult.

Home services

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest, landscaping, roofing and pools. A text back for every call that rings while the crew is on a job, and a follow-up on every estimate that has gone quiet.

Medical and dental offices

New-patient calls answered by text when the front desk is with a patient, and after-hours visitors offered a time to book.

Real-estate teams

Every lead gets a reply within minutes, then a follow-up that keeps going after the first agent gets busy.

Auto repair shops

A follow-up on the work customers turned down at the counter, and reminders when the next service comes due.

Calls slipping through? Start with missed-call text back and run your own numbers in the calculator.

Questions owners ask

How much does it cost to hire an AI consultant?

It depends on who you hire and how they bill. AI development firms listed on Clutch most often charge $25 to $49 an hour, and their most common project size is $10,000 to $49,999, per Clutch's pricing guide updated September 21, 2026. My prices are published: the founding 30-day sprint is $2,000, and keeping me on after that is $1,500 a month at the founding rate (regular $2,500). Once the five founding spots fill, the sprint is $5,000.

What does an AI consultant do for a small business?

Finds the work that eats your team's week or loses you customers, then sets up software that handles it. For a local business that usually means answering every call and web inquiry fast, getting quotes and follow-ups out on time, chasing paperwork, and asking every customer for a review. The work gets built inside the tools you already use, and your team learns to run it.

What happens after 30 days?

We read the numbers together and you get a 90-day plan. You can run it on your own, or keep me on at the founding rate of $1,500 a month (regular $2,500), locked for a year and month to month. If you keep me on, I keep everything running and add the next fix each month.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. Every account and automation is set up in your business name from the first day, and it stays yours whether or not we keep working together. I pay for the tools during the 30-day sprint.
